There are many gifted artists devoid of any real direction and purpose for their chosen art form. Over time commercial artists can become disillusioned with the time restraints and budgetary requirements allocated for a project. It can be difficult to create anything substantial when these types of restrictions are imposed. Metaphorically speaking, as one art director put it, “Like having a gun put to your head and told to create.” This is quite often the reality of working in the art industry and unfortunately the constant pressure to perform leave many artists burnt out.
Angelion Art in many ways was birthed out of my experience as a commercial artist and desire for some autonomy. Having a personal vision for my art is an opportunity to encapsulate my own ideas and express them freely. I believe having a vision gives one a sense of purpose and a determined sense of direction. Life becomes meaningful when you are locked into the pursuit of your dream. As I have discovered passion, persistence and providence are required along the path toward that dream.
