Stand Firm – freedom series
“I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands. Though the wicked bind me with rope. I will not forget your law.” (Ps 119:60-61)
The main figure in the painting is surrounded by three strongmen. They try to bind him with ropes, in an attempt to drag him into the outer darkness. He stands firm in the light, regardless of their best efforts to entangle him.
Remain steadfast and gaze intently into the perfect law of liberty. Obeying Gods law does not inhibit or restrain you. Instead it frees you to be all that God intended you to be.
Jesus said, “Those who hear the teaching of God and obey it – they are the ones who are truly blessed.” (Luke 11:28)
Be encouraged to stand firm in the light of God’s truth when life’s hardships seem to entangle you.
