FAI Dragster

I feel the need for speed!

I was commissioned to paint this dragster for a publisher while I was working as a freelance illustrator. I must admit drawing vehicles is not my forte, but it was good to get given a job like this for something different. I completed this painting entirely in gouache on Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper. I added my finishing touches with an airbrush over the completed brush painting. This is of course before the days of Photoshop.
